2, 2009 - PEI Automobile Dealers Association Supports Special
Olympics PEI - The Prince Edward Island
Automobile Dealers Association recently donated over $5,500
to Special Olympics PEI as part of their April Car Campaign
fundraiser. Seventeen new automobile dealers across PEI
participated in the month long campaign with a portion from
every car sold/leased during the month going to Special
Olympics PEI.
This annual donation marks over $113,000
donated to Special Olympics PEI since 1987 through their
April Car Campaign.
“This donation will help Special
Olympics PEI to continue to provide over 40 sport programs
to more than 340 athletes with an Intellectual Disability.
It is because of corporations and individuals like the PEI
Automobile Dealers Association that SOPEI is able to provide
programs in communities Island-wide and look to provide
sports opportunities to more individuals with intellectual
disabilities.” comments Valerie Downe, Special Olympics
Executive Director.
