Event - Five Pin Bowling Provincials

May 20, 2010 - 2010 5-Pin Bowling Provincals a Hugh Success - Thanks You to all Volunteers!! - On behalf of the Special Olympics PEI Board of Directors, Athletes and Families, THANK YOU for giving your time and talents to the 2010 5-Pin Bowling Provincials on May 15 and 16. This event was a HUGE success because of your generosity! You have helped enrich the lives of over 150 athletes through sport! I look forward to your involvement in 2011!

May 12, 2010 - 2010 5-Pin Bowling Provincials a Maritime Event! - Over 200 athletes, coaches and volunteers will take part in the 2010 Special Olympics PEI 5-Pin Bowling Provincials on May 15 & 16 at the Murphy Recreation Center in Charlottetown.

The two day event will see athletes from PEI, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia compete for top honors in three divisions.

“We are very excited about this event as it is our largest on Island competition. We are pleased with the growth of the tournament and to have teams from both NB and NS attending.” says, SOPEI Program Director, Charity Sheehan.

The tournament begins Saturday, May 15 from 9:00 am and will continue Sunday, May 16 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. An awards ceremony will follow at 1:30pm on Sunday.

Special Olympics PEI is a charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of Prince Edward Islanders with an intellectual disability through sport. Athletes can participate in either community or competitive sport streams and have the opportunity to train year-round and compete at games held provincially, nationally and internationally.
