PEI - Draft-A-Team Member

On February 26 – March
1, 2008, 38 athletes and coaches will represent PEI at the 2008
Special Olympics Canada National Winter Games in Quebec City, Quebec.
Island athletes will be competing in floor hockey, figure skating,
curling, snow shoeing and Nordic skiing.
When given an opportunity to experience the
thrill of competition at a Special Olympics event, words can not
describe the positive impact this has on an athlete and their family.
These competitors gain self-esteem, confidence and strength through
competition, which benefits all aspects of their lives.
We are giving businesses the opportunity
to draft an athlete in our “Draft-a-Team Member” campaign
for the upcoming 2008 Winter Games. This Campaign involves a contribution
of $850 to support an athlete in training and competing at the 2008
Quebec City Winter Games. In partnership with Special Olympics PEI,
this initiative gives your company the opportunity to enrich the
lives of Islanders with intellectual disability through competitive
sport. As a supporter of the Campaign, you will receive:
- A charitable tax receipt
- TV ad space
- Recognition and link on Special Olympics
PEI website
- Signage at any Special Olympics PEI event
- Invitation to and recognition at the
Team PEI Pep Rally
- A framed plaque with picture of your
athlete
If your organization would like to partner
with Special Olympics for this campaign or if you have any questions
and/or concerns please feel free to contact us at 368-8919 or via
